As the leading champions for the rights of elders and disabled adults in Missouri, we understand the gravity of the situation we face. Shockingly, Missouri Adult Protective Services received 30,000 calls about abuse in 2022. What’s even more alarming is that only 4% of instances of abuse are even reported. This is a crisis that requires immediate attention and collective action.

The CJEDA is a powerful alliance of organizations, coalitions, multidisciplinary teams, and individuals. Our shared goal unites us: to promote awareness and prevention of abuse of elders and disabled people and support survivors in receiving justice on their terms. We work with other coalitions, organizations, multi-disciplinary teams, and individuals, but we particularly encourage participation from law enforcement, social workers, prosecutors, bankers, and others who regularly interact with elderly and disabled persons.
